Hearing protection is very important

Of all the health problems, hearing loss is considered to be the most widespread but least recognized. The best way to prevent hearing loss is to reduce the noise in the workplace, ensure that the machine is well maintained, buy low-noise machines or investigate whether it is possible to use noise reducing materials to muffle existing machines

employees should not be exposed to more than 85 decibels (DBA) of noise for 8 hours a day, otherwise their hearing will gradually weaken. 1f employees are exposed to noise above 85 dB, the exposure time must be less than 8 hours, or protective measures should be taken

if the noise level is higher than or equal to 85 dB, then it is necessary to implement hearing protection scheme. The first step is to carry out noise monitoring, judge the accurate exposure value, and distinguish which employees should be included in the protection scheme. This kind of test can be done in different places in a day with a volume meter, and it can also be used to measure the continuous exposure value of employees in the whole working day with a noise meter

the hearing test is conducted for the employees who are identified in the noise monitoring and will work in the high noise environment. Before starting work, establish the initial listening curve for each employee, and then test the listening curve every year to detect whether there is hearing loss

the final step is to implement the control plan and train the employees to use the protective equipment correctly, such as earplugs and earmuffs. 1f hearing loss occurs, the factory may need more training and enforcement measures
