high quality RDS has a certain hardness specification (steel body and edge) and guaranteed bending property (angle and radius). The general standard is: steel body hardness 38hrc, edge hardness 50HRC, guaranteed angle of 60 degrees (inner seal angle thickness of 2mm), guaranteed bending radius of 1mm

RDS has different profiles, from general standard profiles to profiles modified for special needs

the selection of RDS profiles and initial dimensions depends on the different materials cut. At the same time, the following conditions should be considered: mold size, complexity, cutting quantity, expected pressure and the shape of the material to be cut, single layer or multi-layer, etc. However, when customizing a series of molds, the profile and size of RDS should be clearly specified. 1n other words, to mark the material for cutting, the specific choice depends on the mold factory

be single layer cutting (leather); BD single layer cutting, double edge cutting, left-hand or right-hand part only one mold; AE symmetrical profile of Slitter; Symmetrical double edge steel; Te-g multi-layer cutting (fiber fabric, wool, thread, artificial leather, etc.); Se-g cutting of hard material (insole); Ate cutting multi-layer heavy textile raw materials; Ben has threaded die

the purpose of double edge steel (BD) is to reduce the demand of special shoes for molds. Symmetrical and identical parts can be cut by single edge hard punching made of double edge steel plate

however, in this case, the specific cutting edge bears the pressure generated by the press, so special protection measures must be taken to avoid damage to the edge during operation and storage. 1f an edge has been damaged, higher pressure is needed to dig out the damaged material. This increases the load on the edge when it is connected with the top of the thin plate of the switch, which in turn causes a vicious circle of increasing pressure and premature wear of the two edges

it is necessary to avoid using excessive pressure in BD to achieve the best performance and give full play to the advantage of complete saving

select the right punching material:

top leather – natural labor protection upper leather should be cut into single layer, so be or BD profile is the most economical cutting method in this case

insole, heel and reinforcement of labor protection shoes – hard materials such as imitation leather cardboard or fiberboard are best cut with se-g / Se-W profile cutter. The small slope of the inner layer of the profile can reduce the internal pressure of the die and make the die easy to clean

Textiles – woven or non-woven fabrics are usually cut in multiple layers. Te-g profiles are recommended as they facilitate penetration of stacked materials with less pressure. Serrated steel plates, such as tes-g, reduce pressure to a greater extent and are used for difficult to cut fabrics and stacked thick layers of materials to avoid “undercutting”

shoe sole leather, thick artificial leather board and thin plastic layer need high cutting pressure and threaded mold. Be-n profiles are available in light steel or traditional heavy forged steel
